To make your Secret Trance experience as pleasant and safe as possible, we have laid out some rules that outline what is acceptable behaviour.
- We recommend that you keep your posts relevant to the forum in which you are currently in. Try to make your posts informative and/or entertaining. We understand that there`s always some "noise" in the form of bumps, greetings and so on. On the whole, please show some relevance.
- Spam in not acceptable in any form or in any place.
- No stalking. Persistent harassment of an individual or group of individuals against their wishes is not permitted. If someone asks you to stop, please leave them alone. Continued harassment will result in punishment.
- No overly abusive language. We have a very liberal policy regarding language, but please try to be civil and courteous towards your fellow Trancers. If your post is excessively vulgar, insulting, explicit, self-deprecating or racial, ageist or sexist without any justification, we will promptly delete it.
- Endorsing illicit activities or encouraging crime is not permitted.
- When commenting artworks or reviewing web links, please try to be constructive in your criticism or praise. If your comments are found to be excessively insulting or vulgar, your account may be penalized.
- Sexually explicit posts may be deleted. Soliciting or engaging in cyber sex or mature content role play is not allowed.
- User run banking services, such as those providing interest, pawn shop, or other investment and loan services, are not permitted for security reasons. Any banking services found will be removed and may lead to having your account banned.
- Discussion, depiction or promotion of child sexuality, abuse, exploitation and/or related topics that may be harmful to or threaten the security of a child or minor is not allowed. Submitting any content or utilizing language or terms meant to imply or insinuate these situations may result in a warning, permanent ban or other action by Secret Trance depending on the context of their use. If you are submitting content to Secret Trance and you are unsure whether that content violates our Terms of Service or other rules and guidelines, it is better to not submit the content and to ask a Secret Trance Administrator.
- Try to keep your images PG-13. Tasteful nudity in the art forums is allowed on a case-by-case basis, but on the whole, it is a good idea to cater to a range of audiences. This includes the very young. If the image is not PG-13 rated, it is expected to have the Adult rating marked on the image. Images that are not PG-13 rated, and are not marked as Adult, may be removed. Also, images that are not PG-13 and are marked as Adult, may be removed if it is pornographic or Secret Trance staff deems the content as "going too far".
- Certain types of graphic images may contribute to or otherwise cause viewers to experience an adverse physical reaction, such as migraine headaches or seizures. Images that may cause such reactions are not permitted, and, should your post or signature contain such an image, Secret Trance may remove the post or signature or take other action that Secret Trance deems appropriate.
- Using an automated script, macro, or refreshing feature to post or surf webpages in order to generate Echos (Botting) is forbidden. The use of any software or codes to generate gold without the need for you being in front of your computer is generally considered as botting. Anyone suspected of botting will have their account banned.
- We reward our users with Echos and hard to find rares, but we have no tolerance for people who try to take other users` assets with get-rich-quick schemes or promises of rare items. Running any kind of scam - including but not limited to lottery scams or trade scams.
- Hacking is defined as "the unauthorized access to another user`s account". Attempts to hack, trying to obtain another user`s passwords will lead to banning.
- Impersonating a Secret Trance Staff Member is not permissible. This includes Administrators and Moderators.
- All images and literature that you submit to Secret Trance must be material that you own. Posting of such material that is not under your ownership is under copyright infringement. Copyright infringements will result in the material in question to be removed and your Secret Trance under account suspension. Repeat offenders may be permanently banned, and possibly their account removed.
- Because the Secret Trance Dolls are visible to everyone, those who have a Doll are expected to have the doll clothed asap. Those who keep the doll nude or display the doll in sexually explicit manners (for example, the female doll has shoes and a skirt on but lacks any kind of cover for the breasts) will be dealt with. The only exceptions to this rule are those who have "just acquired" the doll.
- No repeating corrective statements. This means that if one person makes a post of "it`s against the rules to do action A", do not make posts with "it`s against the rules to do action A." The receiver of the message does not need multiple people telling them the same piece of information and this is a waste of space.
- Have a back bone (or, don`t be hyper sensitive). The real world is littered with non-politically correct material, don`t expect the internet to be politically correct either. Trivial offensive material, such as the number 13 and the word "retarded" being to describe an action that was thought of as a stupid action, exist and will come up. You will be expected to tolerate such minor things. However, this does not mean that major offenses, such as discriminiation against a certain gender and others, will be tolerated. Major offenses are against the rules.
- No "elitist attitudes." This may also be referred to as "Holier than Thou" attitudes. In short, this describes an attitude of where a person may speak or act in a way that gives off the impression that this person in question thinks they are better than everyone else or think they are of a higher status than what they really are. It is a downright rude attitude that nobody likes.
As a general rule, always log off after every session to prevent others from logging in as yourself and trading your Echos and items away. You should also know that under NO circumstances will Secret Trance officials ask you to reveal your password. NEVER give your password away to ANYONE.
Failure to comply with these rules and guidelines may result in disciplinary action and ultimately in the termination of your Secret Trance account. For a more detailed outline of these rules, you may also read our Terms of Service.
