Journal Entry Getting Organized on January 31, 2010 03:42:36 PM by Beloved Doll Administrator Trancer   So I gathered all the files I could access, between my laptop and my external, and put them all together on the laptop under one big folder. So now I`m breaking things up, sorting them into different subfolders (with subfolders to them) and deleting files I no longer need. I still have zip disks to view some time (I know, at this point they`re ancient, and I would`ve gotten to them if I still had a zip drive but I need to borrow dad`s) but at least the huge chunk of what I have will be taken care of. Or at least start to. Every year I`ve made a resolution that I would get my computer stuff organized. Every year that would last about 1 day, if that. Very little progress would be made. I`m making another attempt at it today, and I think I`ve made more progress than I ever have. The clincher would be to see if I will do this after today. I`d like to dream of having an organized computer, where I might actually be able to find stuff. But it`s just a dream. BUT - Dreams don`t happen if you just sit on your butt thinking about it. You have to actually get up and work towards it. Here`s hoping I`ll stick with the plan this year.
