Once again, as a reminder, do not make any editing or corrections to this, do not point to me of any mistakes. I will not make corrections. I`m leaving this mostly as is of what it was when Tojo and I rped this out. We both have different rp styles so expect there to be some inconsistencies in things such as apostrophes and tenses.

Counting to three, he suddenly jumped through; for only a couple of seconds, they passed through a dark blue "tunnel", then emerged in a completely different environment with a dream like quality..it was a forest, an ethereal forest, which had a mystical quality to it. She was facing to the light-red sky, stars as far as one could see..little lights, like glow-flies flittered about. If the other place was a nightmare, this certainly seemed like a wonderful dream.. For a while, she could only look into the sky; something was very different about her, however..but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.
With her face still directed towards the sky and her hand still gripping Shadow`s, Maria speaks,"I wonder where we are now..."
"I don't know, but anywhere was better than back the-... Maria?"
Something was different about Shadow, when she would look to him.
"What?"
She turns to Shadow.
Shadow was no longer a hedgehog; he was now a young human boy, seemingly in his later teens. A pale complexion with intense crimson eyes, he had black hair, with red tipped highlights; it almost matched his fur. He pointed towards her. "..You're..different now.."
Maria`s eyes are widened, looking at Shadow,"So...are you..."
" ..." Lifting up a hand, his eyes widened as he saw he was human; the clothes he wore were very spartan, simple and black.
"...!?" Looking at himself; there was a nearby pool of water where Maria could look to see what had happened to herself.
She bends over a little to the water to look at her reflection. Her hand immediately goes to her cheek as her mouth drops open.
She was now a hedgehog, as Shadow had been previously..it all felt so strange; she now had quills, fur, paws.. Yet, her fur color was golden, much as her hair had been, and her eyes the same gentle blue.
"..I'm..human now?" Shadow choked out, in pure disbelief.
"How did I...turn into a hedgehog?"
She looks away from her reflection and looks at Shadow,"Why...?"
"..I ..I don't know.."
Shadow spoke, looking over towards her. ".. This is all still a dream..I hope.. this shouldn't be real.."
Yet it really felt real to the touch, Shadow unable to arise as he observed the changes he had gone through.
Maria reaches back to touch her own head quills. They were softer and smaller than what Shadow`s more masculine quills were.
Shadow was now, at this time, a human; despite the "world" having a dream like quality, things felt very real, undiscerning from what they perceived as real life. His crimson eyes looked to her in silent surprise at how she had changed, and at how he had changed..he felt his hair, noting he no longer had quills..He had a simple black outfit on, his shoes and gloves unchanged. His mouth hung open a little, about to say something, yet he said nothing..just rose a little and knelt down beside Maria.
Maria`s facial expression changes as she moves her hand away from her newly gained hedgehog quills. Her hand moves to her forehead and her mouth opens a little. Her eyes begin to look tired.
"..This..is a big turn of events.." Shadow started to speak; she could see he visibly appeared a little more than eighteen.
"..There were some real terrors in that night-mare..you probably saw things you were never meant to see.."
Looking into her eyes now, he offered a hand. "Are you..feeling alright in your..new form? ..Anything hurting you..?"
Maria`s free hand grasps Shadow`s offered hand and puts a little weight to it. She turns head head to face him,"I`m sick...I think...I think the stress is catching up to me..."
"..Unghn.." He groaned, a look of un-ease crossing his face at hearing her words. "..I'll carry you, Maria..I'll take you some-where we can rest.."
Looking around, noticing they were in a clearing. "If you're too unfit for travel, we'll..stay here.."
Maria slowly shakes her head,"I`m not that bad off. We can find some place else."
"Alright..try and relax."
Suddenly scooping her up, he looked around to try and determine their best route; heading south, he wandered towards a pool of water where a grouping of trees surrounded it, a stream pooling in from the north. Several times, he looked to her with a visible, worried expression on his face.
As per usual when Shadow carries her, Maria has her arms around his neck. But this time she is laying her head against his shoulder. With her forehead touching the side of his neck, he can feel that she has an obvious fever.
His teeth grit, much as they usually did whenever something big was happening; as soon as they reached the pool of water, he gently set her down against one of the larger trees. Collecting a bunch of leaves, it was all he could offer for a pillow.. Cupping some water, he held it to her lips. "..Maria, drink up."
Maria opens her eyes and accepts the water Shadow gives her. Once she finishes drinking that, she lays her head back against the leaves and takes a deep breath.
"..."
For a long time, Shadow looked to her expectantly, as if waiting for her to say something to him.. For a while, he just sat there, knelt down beside her; all of his attention was focussed on Maria.
She cracks a tired smile and her hand grasps Shadow`s,"This isn`t so bad as what it was when we were on the Arc...At least now I`m able to sit up whereas up there, I couldn`t.."
"..I know..We'll..we'll get through this, Maria..anything you need, I'll get it.."
His other hand started to rub the back of her paw, he knelt down a little closer to her, looking to her with a concerned expression.
"So you made it through in one piece? I`m surprised."
Wave is as her normal swallow self. She has her gear board with her, holding it upright besides her with her hand. One foot is behind the other but sitting on the sit of her shoe.
"...."
Shadows eyes widened; his senses are dulled a bit being a human now, he couldn't detect her with his sensitive ears. Slowly, he turned to look back at her. His face noticeably contorted into a glare. She could see the similarities but obvious differences of his altered form.. "..-You- sent us here!?"
Wave tips her board to a horizontal position and tucks it under her arm, carrying it like a giant loaf of bread. She lowers her head a little with a wicked smirk,"I`m curious, why did you two switch species?"
"...You tell me..." He growled, tilting his head forwards slightly as he continued to glare at her, his right hand clenching into a fist. "..Why did you send us here.."
"Ha! Why should I tell you? You`re the one who interfered."
"...." His right hand still clenched, thinking there was only one of her; eventually, there was noticeable tension on his face, but he lowered his fist, calming down slightly; but only for Maria's sake, hoping, more than likely in vain, that Wave might be merciful if he softened a bit. He spoke a little more quietly. "..Listen..my..friend here, she's sick..very sick. She needs to see a doctor..could you..please lead us out of this place."
To flaunt her ultimate bitchyness, Wave shrugs in a 'I don`t care' manner,"Oh well, that`s what happens when you befriend weak, sickly people."
"...." His anger flared again, he suddenly stomped into the dust, raising his fist again. "..What is this all about..? ..Who do you think you are!?"
Wave`s only response is her infamous laugh, the same kind she gave Tails when she laughed in his face about how junky she thought his technology was.
"..That's it..."
Suddenly entering a fighting stance, he sought to attack her for what he perceived as her attack on them. Raising both his arms to perform chaos control, his gloved hands glowed slightly, however, only a series of sparks were produced. Chaos control didn't work here.
"..W-what!?" In disbelief and surprise at his failed move, Shadow started to step back.
Wave tucks some of her hair under the bandanna she has wrapped around her head,"What`s the matter? Your new human body not cooperating with your powers?"
"..." The fire didn't leave his eyes as he glared to her. However, eventually, he started to step back, so that he was closer to Maria.
