By the command of his very soul, the young wolf-demon rushes into the wilds of battle. He aims for the strongest opponents and, in his attempt to obtain the Shikon Jewel, he flings himself into the battle between good and evil. Time and again when encountering danger, with his strong pride and will, and always with his comrades in mind, he launches his counterattack against the evil powers.
His body is completely demon and so he has plenty of stamina and excellent recovery capacity. He can heal minor injuries immediately and the Shikon Kewel shard enhances his natural quickness. He produces instantaneous power that even his comrades cannot keep up with. Also, because of his wolf characteristics, he has a rough temperament as well as a strong instinct to herd and protect the pack as its leader.

He slices a wall of air with his high-speed movements, creating a vacuum. Air then flows into the vacuum creating a cyclone.

Threatening arms with uncanny strength. Even though deprived of the shard from his arm, Kouga`s arm remains incredibly powerful! He easily broke the neck of the giant Kyokotsu.
Effects of the Shikon shards. A Shikon Jewel shard was put into each of his legs, making them powerful. He is always improving his skills to move as rapidly as they can be and to make his leg attacks as powerful as they can be.
Fur of the wolf demon clan. "The thing is...the fur represents the memories of comrades, such as those that have passed away, and so it is worn as a momento, I think. To inherit their will...I think it represents that as well."
Kouga`s skills do not rely on weapons or strategies at all - he basically just attacks using his body. Kouga striking enemies using his physical power resembles a brawl more than battle. His attacks, making full use of his superb instantaneous power, are as quick as lightning, and when he is in danger, his ability to swiftly withdraw is a special skill that is unlike that of any other demon.

Kouga is almost always completely straightforward and his simple and clear demeanor bears no shadow of Magatsuhi. He has no human feelings, such as the desire to make plans or having concern for the weak. His soul is mostly wild and is only concerned with survival.

Kouga is the young leader of the wolf-demon clan. He has the deep trust of his comrades and regardless of the danger he faces enemies on the frontlines of battle in order to protect the pack! He will willingly give his life for the pack.
Even if it is a member of the wolf-demon clan, he punishes anyone that betrays the pack.
Kouga puts himself into difficult situations because of the confidence he has in his own strength as the young leader!
Is the wolf-demon clan like a motorcycle gang? Kouga is like the head of a family, isn`t he? They are a pack of vigorous young wolves and I think there is a kind of the head of the family. Female wolves probably have their own girl gangs, too.
Anger Toward Enemies Who Take Away His Comrades
Kouga tries to protect his comrades at all times. He will punish anyone that hurts his pack, regardless of who they are. However powerul an enemy may be, he will swear revenge, body and soul! With his pride as a wolf-demon clan member, his conviction is unwavering.
Kouga hurried to the castle to save his comrades. However, all of them ended up exactly as Naraku had planned.
It was a battle he faced for revenge. But when Kagura appeared, Kouga realized the truth.
Inuyasha and the dead bodies of comrades...Kouga was completely trapped.
On a journey chasing Naraku, he did battle with an old enemy!

The relationship between Kouga and Inuyasha is sometimes that if foe and sometimes that of collaborator. And since they met they have become rivals for the love of Kagome. They each realize the power of the other but refuse to admit it. It is just like a cat-and-dog relationship, but they grow to trust each other little by little.
They pursue the same enemy, Naraku, and sometimes exchange information.
Kouga approached Inuyasha for having saved him. But he ended up being unintentionally belligerent.
In a serious crisis, they cooperated and succeeded in escaping from Naraku.

Kouga rarely makes battle plans. His actions are basically animalistic hit-or-miss. But he sometimes exhibits surprising strategies with his naturally sharp instincts!
He correctly aimed at the Shikon Jewel shard using his wild instincts.
He took advantage of Kagome and tried to monopolize the Shikon Jewel in his pack.
Saki: Blind Expression of Love
As long as he likes something, he is not concerned with the feelings of others! He simply proceeds in one direction. Kouga aggressively told Kagome that she would be happy if she were with him. His expression of love is pure and he goes to meet Kagome where ever she may be.
He approached Kagome forcibly even though they had just met.
If a woman that he likes relies on him, he becomes elated, forgetting all about combat.
